1931 – The Vivian’s and Son’s Licensed Plumbers was opened on the corner of Jared Street and Railway Parade in Cottesloe. The business was started by Sam Vivian and his father William Vivian.
1991 – The business entered into it’s third generation of Plumbers when Sam’s son Craig Vivian took over from his dad and continued on for many more years. Craig became very well known in the area for being one of the most fair and honest Plumbers that would not over charge his clients just because they lived in an area that was increasing significantly in value at the time.
2002 – Sadly, the Vivian’s shop was to come to an end when the land was sold to a developer who built commercial shops and residential apartments. To this day, the site is still called ‘VIVIAN’S CORNER’ in recognition of the long standing service that was provided. Vivian’s Plumbing continued for more years to come with Craig becoming a one man band and working out of homes around the Western Suburbs all of which had large garages for all his tools.
2012 – 2013 Business heavily slowed down for Craig during his last year as unfortunately he was diagnosed with a fast spreading cancer that eventually claimed his life in February 2013.
2015 – The Vivian’s made a comeback in the Western Suburbs only for this time through Real Estate with Gill and Trent opening their doors to ‘VIVIAN’S RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE’. Their goal was simple, to continue the long standing trust and professionalism that had been brought through Vivian’s Plumbing for many years and to this day they plan to be around for longer than the plumbing was.
